as an official Route 66 icon. Well, here he is, right outside the Launching Pad Drive-In in Wilmington, IL. Had a Route 66 burger and fries inside. Must have salad tomorrow if I am to live thru this trip. Did cholesterol exist in the 50s, before they could measure it? Seems to be the same philosophical question as 'If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, did it make a sound?'. (More time to think on a road trip.)
